Presentation theme: educational advances in planetariums
The Royal Observatory Greenwich’s planetarium programme consists of regularly hosting shows for the general public and school groups, and in addition to our core programming, we showcase a variety of shows tailored to the needs of specific community groups. This presentation will highlight some of the shows and other activities we run in our planetarium, as an invitation for critical feedback and to foster cooperative projects and knowledge exchange with other planetaria. The principal focus will be programme strands where equity, diversity and inclusion principles are most significant. As well as showing successful outcomes, we will spotlight areas where we have encountered difficulties and obstacles, with the intention of engaging fellow members of the IPS community to problem-solve and learn from external expertise. Our hope is that the poster will serve as a thematically-focused conversation starter rather than a straightforward showcase.
